ooooo splurgin'

last weekend, i went to my sister in-law's wedding in occidental. the wedding was beautiful, but it was mighty HOT. all the guys wore kilts, (including the hubster), and i splurged my butt off in anthropologie and wore an anna sui dress. the rest of the weekend was spent watching the world cup. in fact, all of our days now consist of the world cup and sierra nevada's.

i also went to west elm in corte madera and splurged my butt off there as well. believe you me, my bum covers a lot of territory. so, it's been hoppin' shoppin' for nance these days, but that will surely end soon. i bought a lamp there called the "belly lamp." it's turquoise and has a round belly in the middle that comes in and then flares out at the base. i just had to laugh at how fitting it was that i had to buy the "belly" lamp, considering that my own belly resembles the oh-so-cute lamp (despite the turquoise color).... however, i wouldn't use *cute* to describe mine. words more like *butt-ass-ugly* are great to describe mine. that and *ice cream monster* are good. mmmm.... ice cream
